Privacy Policy

Home Proof ("the app") is published by Monarch Labs. This policy explains how the iOS app treats information on your device.

Summary

• No account or sign-in is required.
• Your appliances, receipts, and exports are stored on your iPhone only.
• We do not operate a cloud service that receives your inventory, receipt images, or OCR text.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Information stored on your device

The app stores locally, using Apple frameworks (SwiftData and the app sandbox):

• Appliance details you enter (name, brand, model, serial, dates, notes, etc.)
• Photos of receipts and manuals you attach
• Service and repair records
• App preferences (e.g. warranty alerts, smarter suggestions)

On-device processing

To help you document purchases, the app may process images and text on your device using:

• Apple Vision (OCR, document structure, barcodes)
• Apple Data Detection (phone numbers, links, emails in text)
• Apple Foundation Models / Apple Intelligence (optional), only when enabled and supported on your device — for field suggestions and PDF summaries

That processing does not send your documents to Monarch Labs.

Permissions

• Camera — to scan receipts and manuals with the document camera.
• Photo Library — to attach existing photos to appliances.
• Notifications — optional local warranty reminders; you can disable them in Settings.

Crash diagnostics (optional)

To improve stability, the app may send crash and performance diagnostics to Sentry when an unexpected error occurs. We configure Sentry not to attach screenshots or personal inventory content. Diagnostics may include stack traces and technical metadata. You can contact us with questions about this processing.

Sharing

When you export a PDF or use the system share sheet, you choose where content goes (Mail, Files, AirDrop, etc.). Monarch Labs does not receive that export.

Data retention and deletion

Data remains on your device until you delete items in the app or remove the app. Deleting the app removes local app data subject to iOS behavior.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
